An HCS (Home and Community-based Services) provider offers residential and support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These services help individuals live safely in the community while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life under Texas Medicaid guidelines.
HCS services are available to adults ages 18–65 with intellectual or developmental disabilities who meet eligibility requirements through Texas Medicaid and their Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA).
To begin the HCS process, contact your local LIDDA by calling 211 or visiting the Texas Health and Human Services website. Your LIDDA will assist with eligibility, interest lists, and next steps. Our team is also available to answer questions and provide guidance.
